The much-awaited return of great pianist and conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy to the Athens State Orchestra podium is one of the season’s highlights. Two symphonic landmarks will be presented: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, brilliant and emotionally intense orchestral works.
