Ekep Nkwelle, a rising new presence in the contemporary jazz scene, has built a highly successful career, with continuous appearances at renowned jazz venues. Launched by the Juilliard School and carried forward by her captivating voice, she has gone on to collaborate with jazz legends such as Dianne Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Cyrus Chestnut, Russell Malone and Wynton Marsalis—on whose recommendation she was also named a rising jazz star by Lincoln Center. Her virtuosity was further recognised with the Juilliard Scholarship in 2023.
