Animegaron 2024-2025
Every year, the very large number of entries from Greece and abroad demonstrates the intense interest of creators -younger and not only- in film music and even more so in animation films, which leave a wide field of freedom, imagination and compositional creation.
The short film 66 Days by the award-winning director Georgia Pournara inspired Greek and foreign creators to compose music as part of the Animegaron Competition, which has been running for eight years at the Megaron with great success. Beyond the number of participants, what is impressive is the way each creator interprets the film, each in their own way, highlighting the young heroine Tade and the imaginary world she has created while living in isolation in an apartment in the center of Athens. Leaving the field open to imagination, the world of animation is attracting the interest of more and more creators. Animegaron’s goal is to support talented composers of music for the screen, giving them the opportunity to acquire the skills they need for their career in the field. The film with the ten best soundtracks will be shown during the online broadcast, followed by the announcement of the top three awards.
The film with the ten best soundtracks, including the award-winning compositions, will be posted on the Megaron Music Hall’s social media accounts.
