Overview

The Boston Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the most influential youth orchestras in the world, with groundbreaking educational and artistic work, is celebrating ten years since its founding as part of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. On the occasion of this anniversary, he is touring in Greece, starting from Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall. Under the baton of Benjamin Zander, a legendary figure in American music life, America’s most promising young musicians perform a program with much-loved works by Ravel, Elgar and Shostakovich.

As soloist performs the cellist-phenomenon Zlatomir Fung, who at the age of 19 became the youngest winner of the Tchaikovsky International Competition in the cello category.
