“Christ Cometh from Heaven, meet ye Him”

Overview
Christmas chants and carols.
The Friends of Music welcome the festive season of Christmas with wonderful Byzantine and post-Byzantine hymns and melodies. The Orthodox Ecclesiastical Byzantine Choir and the Traditional Choir and Orchestra of the National Conservatory of Athens perform carols and songs from various regions of Greece, welcoming the events of the Nativity and Epiphany. The guestmaster-narrator completes and explains the sounds with historical and musical references. A foretaste of the joyful feasts of the Holy Twelve Days (Twelvetide) at Megaron.
