200 YEARS OF JOHANN STRAUSS
The dazzling celebrations taking place this year in Vienna for the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great waltz composer Johann Strauss II are also coming to the Athens Concert Hall! With a specially curated program for this anniversary year, the authentic Austrian Johann Strauss Ensemble and their charismatic conductor, Russell McGregor, bring to life the full sparkle and elegance of Viennese waltzes. The stage of the Megaron will be adorned with festive décor to welcome the audience to a joyful experience that has become a cherished tradition for the ‘Friends of Music’. The event features performances by the distinguished soprano Myrsini Margariti and the acclaimed baritone and artistic director of Olympia, Tassis Christoyannopoulos — two celebrated artists of the Greek National Opera, in a magical evening infused with the charm of Vienna!
