Members of the Camerata
Meet Deep Purple

Overview
Co-production:

Pure Art
Last year’s successful performances by the Members of the Camerata and George Petrou continue this year, with a bold programme featuring two symphonic works by Jon Lord, the soul of Deep Purple. An epic creation, the famous Concerto for Group and Orchestra paved the way for the fusion of classic rock and symphonic sounds. Hot on the heels of the Concerto followed Jon Lord’s iconic Sarabande – a clin d’œil to the form of the baroque suite as shaped by Bach through the deforming mirror of 1970’s experimentation.
