Chopin and Ravel are two of the composers with whom our great pianist Dora Bakopoulou has lifelong artistic ties, as she performs their works systematically, leaving her mark each time with special sensitivity. She had a similar relationship, deep and long-lasting, with the late Manos Hadjidakis in art and in life. In her long artistic career, Dora Bakopoulou is also a wonderful collaborator, and this is proven once again through her invitation to pianist Achilleas Wastor to share the stage of the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall and play together, either for four hands on one piano or two pianos, favourite works of the pianist’s repertoire, such as Ravel’s sensual Waltz and Hadjidakis’ Cursed Snake.
