A rare opportunity for the Greek audience to experience, for the very first time, four iconic works of global choreography performed live on stage by eighteen of the finest young dancers in the world, straight from the Paris Opera and the Paris Opera Junior Ballet.
The Paris Opera Junior Ballet presents a unique program in Athens for the first time, featuring masterpieces from the classical repertoire alongside groundbreaking contemporary works, under the direction of José Martinez, Artistic Director of the Paris Opera Ballet.
The Paris Opera Ballet, the cradle of classical dance, has upheld a tradition of excellence for over three centuries, combining the preservation and dissemination of its classical repertoire with an ongoing commitment to the creation of new works.
These exclusive performances are organized by the humanitarian organization Lifeline Hellas, in collaboration with visionary culture, and under the auspices of the Embassy of France in Greece, the Hellenic-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and HRH Princess Katherine, founder of Lifeline.
The purpose of these exceptional performances is to support Lifeline Hellas’s ongoing initiative to provide modern incubators to the “Agia Sofia” and “P. & A. Kyriakou” Children’s Hospitals in Athens, a project that has been active in Greek public hospitals for the past three years.
The CHANEL company, based in Paris, is the Founding Patron of the prestigious Paris Opera Junior Ballet.
“The creation of the Junior Ballet reflects the Paris Opera’s desire for continuous evolution by offering innovative approaches to creation, training, and transmission, while remaining rooted in the heritage of the institution.
The Junior Ballet aims to foster a close relationship with audiences through touring performances, both in France and abroad.”
— Alexander Neef, General Director of the Paris Opera
