FRANZ LISZT
Two friends in Paris in the 1830s and 1840s, Balzac’s ‘angel’ Pole and ‘demon’ Hungarian, are the two facets of the romantic piano – a Janus evoked by the fingers of young soloist Alexia Mouza. With many awards under her belt, including from the Academy of Athens, and collaborations with great conductors, Mouza’s recital at the Megaron comes hot on the heels of her debut in Carnegie Hall in New York. Her performances of two of the great romantic sonatas promise to be riveting!
