Overview

This tribute to Rena Kyriakou (1917-1994) includes a Symposium at the Music Library and several concerts at Megaron. A talented pianist and a composer, Kyriakou had already enjoyed a successful career before becoming known to the Greek public. Her output comprises 75 complete compositions. Her recordings revived the forgotten piano works of Mendelssohn and brought to light Catalan composer Antonio Soler.
