The Athens Municipality’s Mandolinata Estudiantina “Dionysios Lavrangas”, which has been entertaining is loyal fans for many years now, presents the most beautiful Greek tangos written by Attik, Giannidis, Chairopoulos, Sougioul, Morakis, Mouzakis and other beloved composers of “light” songs. The fifteen virtuoso musicians (mandolins, mandolas, guitars, violin, flute, accordion, cello, double bass) are accompanied by distinguished artful and lyrical singers, while couples of dancers bring to life on stage the magical atmosphere of a music-and-dance gathering that we all miss. The Athens Municipality’s Mandolinata Estudiantina “Dionysios Lavrangas” has been operating for thirty years under the auspices of the Athens Municipality, presenting programmes featuring all kinds of 20th century quality Greek songs.
