Thymios Atzakas: Udopia

Overview
WITH A TWIST
In this concert, Renaissance and traditional lute blends with the modern compositions of Thymios Atzakas. Udopia features original music, with the exception of two arrangements, one of music by Erik Satie, the other of music by Greek composer and lyra player Nikolaki. Both were near contemporaries and created music of remarkable subtleness, often against the established musico-poetic expectations of their cultural environments.
