In an evening dedicated to the musical languages of today, the dynamic L’ Anima String Quartet presents two works that open windows into worlds of memory and transformation.

Yiannis Kouroudis, one of the most recognizable Greek graphic designers, draws from the ancient Greek alphabet to revive the forgotten letter Qoppa. He reconstructs its sonic journey, from oblivion to revival, like a memory that demands to be heard again—not as it once was, but as it has evolved. A deeply reflective work, rich in emotional landscapes.

Composer Haralabos (Harry) Stafylakis, based in New York and originally from Montreal, Canada, takes his starting point from progressive metal, traditional Greek music, and cinema. Stafylakis has developed a unique perception of rhythm, enriching his compositions by blending diverse musical influences. In his work In Flames (2012), the strings are transformed into voices of a dramatic narrative: all the “bridges burn,” and their musical conflagration sweeps us into an emotional whirlwind that leads to a new beginning.
