A landmark recording, Journey through Greece with Domna Samiou — a collection of 12 songs released in 1972 under the artistic direction of Domna Samiou — is reimagined here by today’s Domna Samiou Choir, in collaboration with acclaimed artists.
Macedonia, Epirus, Constantinople, Crete, Cyprus, Asia Minor, Thrace, the Dodecanese, the Cyclades, the Peloponnese, Pontus, Cappadocia, Southern Italy: we will pass through the same regions, walk along the same musical paths, yet with today’s vision and a renewed spirit, towards a shared meeting place of music. At the centre lies our musical tradition, with the goal of communion and genuine emotional connection — always guided by the responsibility of our cultural heritage and respect for the high sensibility of the folk creator.
