The Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO) presents a chamber music concert dedicated to the richness and expressiveness of the repertoire for strings and piano. Five emerging GYSO talents, representing the promising new generation of Greek musicians, perform both well-loved and lesser-known works of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Dmitri Shostakovich’s  String Quartet No. 7 — a work of profound introspection and intense emotional charge — enters into dialogue with the String Quartet in D major by Andreas Nezeritis, a significant contribution to the Greek National School, while the evening culminates in the radiant and lyrically abundant Piano Quintet No. 2 by Antonín Dvořák.

A programme of high artistic demands, performed by GYSO musicians under the guidance of internationally acclaimed violinist Corina Belcea.
