Hybrid Horizons is a three-day festival of contemporary musical creation, dedicated to the meeting of live instruments with electronic sound and new technologies – from spatial, multichannel sound to artificial intelligence. At the heart of the event lies the idea that technology does not replace the creator, but rather expands their means: it becomes a tool for design, interpretation and listening, in a field where the organic converses with the digital.
A composition workshop, open rehearsals, concerts and academic presentations: for three days, composers, performers and researchers from Greece and abroad come together to share works, ideas and experiments, and to explore how technology can enrich rather than replace musical practice.
The three days include an open evening of improvisation with live electronics (16.10), a concert featuring works by the guest composers (17.10), and the workshop’s closing concert, presenting 8 new works by Greek creators, commissioned by the festival (18.10).
A contemporary and immersive listening experience for all lovers of music.
