In 2022, 23-year-old Lucas Sternath literally swept the prizes at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich, winning not only the first prize but also seven special prizes. With many more awards in renowned international competitions to his name, the fresh-faced Austrian pianist has begun his journey in the musical world by making his debut in major halls in Europe, performing as a soloist with orchestras and renowned conductors. Judging by the rave reviews he receives wherever he performs, this journey is expected to be long and triumphant. His Athens stopover includes magnificent Sonata and Brahms’ adventurous Handel Variations, among others.
