Melina Tanagri chooses freely, from the Greek and foreign repertoire, songs that are charged with feeling and unique, in an idiosyncratic performance without restrictions. Songs of different types and styles are associatively connected by texts and poems, in a somewhat “tweaked” confessional mood. A performance by an artist who is filtering lyrics and music that had been visiting her during the quarantine, asking her to interpret them… wholeheartedly. This new proposition of Melina Tanagri comes as the natural development of a series of personal sui generis performances, with the ultimate goal to exorcise evil and make us emerge “serenely delighted” from it.
