Maria-Ismini Anastasiadou and Dimitra Kostika are two exceptional talents who represent the younger, bright generation of Greek musicians. Top soloists in the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra, they have completed their studies at the highest level and are already spreading their wings in Europe. The first part of the concert is dominated by German Romanticism with Brahms’ lyrical First Violin Sonata, followed the flute that gives the programme a distinctly French flavour. The finale has a pleasant surprise in store for us: two duos and a trio written by two great ̶ and unfairly overlooked ̶ French composers, Cécile Chaminade and Mel Bonisse.
