Megaron Athens International Conference Centre (MAICC) offers the finest facilities, stunning aesthetics and cutting edge technology. A landmark, in the centre of Athens, MAICC has a total offering of 143,000 square metres and a choice of 18 meeting spaces, combined with expansive exhibition and foyer areas totalling 12,000 square metres. The Centre’s total capacity is 6,000 delegates depending on the configuration, with the largest meeting room accommodating close to 2,000.
Megaron has four auditoria: The Christos Lambrakis Hall (1,960), The Alexandra Trianti Hall (1,500), The Nikos Skalkotas Hall (380), The Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall (450), as well as a Banqueting Hall (650) and conference rooms (25 to 180), which can all be combined in order to host the most complex of meetings.
Megaron has a total of 750 parking spaces and it is on a direct metro line to the award winning Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, journey time 35 minutes. It is also very close to major hotels, , museums, shops and fine dining, many of which are within walking distance.
Since its opening, Megaron has been a member of AIPC and ICCA and has succesfully hosted many international conferences and exhibitions. The annual artistic programme of the Concert Hall, offering high-quality works, is a plus for the delegates who have the chance to relax and enjoy artistic shows of universal acclaim

The technical teams at Megaron AICC are highly experienced. We maintain a full time technical staff of over 80 people. Completely familiar with the complex technical infrastructure of the building and also trained in theatre and opera technical systems, you can be confident that the team will provide any level of technical support you require.
First and foremost we understand that you need to stay in touch. So we aim to be at the forefront in offering and implementing new technology for your benefit. We provide a variety of connectivity options with a combination of DSL lines and leased lines with a bandwidth of up to 24MBps of data. We also offer wireless LAN throughout much of the Centre, free of charge.
Internet Zones are an option which many conference and exhibition organizers need to provide and these can be set up at a number of strategic points , allowing delegates access to e-mail and internet as well as encouraging viewing of exhibitor products and services on line.
Event Support – for a Seamless Experience
We understand that a successful meeting is a single, seamless experience. In addition to day on day support, provided by our conference and event planning team, you’ll be assisted by our technical, operations, house management and banqueting departments.
From the moment you even consider holding your event at Megaron, you will be assigned your own event manager/planner, who will be your main point of contact throughout the planning process and the event itself.
We take security very seriously at Megaron. We know it is of the utmost importance in your choice of a venue and to your delegate experience. Having hosted a considerable number of the world’s high profile figures, we have substantial experience in this area and we maintain 24-hour full time security staff throughout the building and the grounds.
In a city where parking is at an absolute premium, Megaron has a total of 750 parking spaces in our 3 story underground car park. Special rates apply for guests attending conferences.
Accessibilty for people with disabilities
There is easy access to and within the Megaron for guests with impaired mobility and our halls have specially designated areas for wheelchairs. We always appreciate you advising us in advance of any special needs in order that we may assist your visit.
Megaron was the recipent of a Helios Award (public buildings category) from the European Commission in recognition of its provision for the disabled.
From sumptuous Gala dinners to conference coffee breaks, Megaron offers the finest cuisine through their catering partners, using only the freshest produce, for which the Mediterranean diet is famous.
COVID – 19 MEASURES
Events and Conferences at Megaron during COVID-19
Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall, is the largest conference centre in downtown Athens, and has been hosting events and conferences in the most organized, efficient and safe manner for over 15 years. Thanks to pioneering – at the time of building – technology and construction design, all its Halls, Conference Venues and meeting rooms are air-conditioned with fresh air.
- With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Megaron is always informed and implements the most up-to-date measures for the protection of both staff and visitors and the prevention of the spread of Covid-19. Specifically:
- Since April 2020 all Megaron Halls, Conference Venues and meeting rooms have been disinfected.
- Public access is only through selected zones were frequent disinfecting of public facilities is undertaken (eg. Doors, handles, WCs, lifts etc.)
- All public areas are equipped with disinfectant lotion for general use.
- Staff wear masks at all times.
- Staff and visitors maintain 1.5m social distancing.
- Before each conference or meeting venues, entrance halls, waiting areas and technical equipment are disinfected.
- Catering services are fully compliant with all regulations for food and drink preparation and serving during Covid-19.
- Megaron , by arrangement with organizers, can assist in the provision of additional protective equipment such as masks and gloves for attendees.
The constant information updates from relevant Public Authorities and the readiness of Megaron Technical services in response to any additional Health and Safety measures are guaranteed.
